With most products the final surface needs sanding to produce a smooth surface. As well as the traditional block with sandpaper wrapped around it, we have Belt Sanders of various size, a Spindle sander, tiny Detail Sander. and the newest tool — a small Palm oscillating Sander.  For each of these we have a range of different grit grades, from coarse to fine.  Sanding produces lots of fine sawdust which some say is as dangerous to breathe as smoking a cigarette. We wear a filter mask, and there is also a large active Air Filter on the ceiling.
